Each herb has a targeted effect on the body and the herbs together act synergistically on each other to enhance and create the healing effect of the entire formula.
Herbal formulas are available in several different forms.
The herbs used in my practice are GMP certified. Herbs are sourced from established and reputable companies.

Qigong
Qigong means ‘energy cultivation/practice’ and includes meditation, breathing awareness and gentle movements. Qigong practices enhance vitality, support healthy muscles, joints and connective tissue, condition the lungs to support oxygenation of the blood, reduce stress and calm the mind.

Lifestyle
Acupuncturists spend time educating their patients on a healthy lifestyle. Recommendations based on your constitution in East Asian medicine include: dietary, qigong, other forms of exercise and habits to enhance your wellbeing and minimize health issues.

Moxibustion/Heat Therapy
Moxibustion is the use of the herb mugwort to warm the meridians. Heat therapy is the use of a TDP lamp which is placed over areas of the body. Both of these therapies promote the movement of qi which enhances the effects of acupuncture.

Tui Na & Cupping
Tui Na means push/pull. It is also known as ‘acupressure’ which is a form of massage using specialized techniques to soften the body’s muscles and tissues.
Cupping releases tension in the muscles and promotes the circulation of qi and blood to relieve pain.
